Editorial standards

How Lumavryn researches, compares, updates and monetises software coverage while keeping editorial judgement independent.

Our purpose

Lumavryn helps beginners, creators and small businesses make clearer software decisions. We aim to explain who a tool fits, where it falls short and what trade-offs matter before a reader spends money or time switching platforms.

How we research

We start with the buyer's job, not the commission. Our preferred evidence is official product documentation, pricing and plan pages, help centres, security or privacy documentation, and other primary sources. Where useful, we cross-check credible independent evidence and user-reported patterns. We distinguish product facts from our editorial judgement.

How comparisons are decided

We compare products on criteria that matter to the intended reader: ease of use, workflow fit, important limitations, pricing structure, migration cost, support, integrations and the specific job the software is meant to do. A longer feature list does not automatically produce a better recommendation.

Reviews and hands-on claims

We do not claim hands-on testing unless it actually occurred. When a page is based on research rather than direct product use, we describe it as research-led. We avoid presenting vendor marketing claims as our own findings.

Affiliate independence

Lumavryn may earn a commission when a reader buys through certain links. Commercial relationships do not determine our verdicts, scores or whether drawbacks are disclosed. A product can be recommended without an affiliate relationship, and an affiliate product can receive a negative or qualified verdict.

Updates

Software changes quickly. We review important commercial pages as products, plans and evidence change. Dates are used to signal review freshness, not to imply that every minor sentence was rewritten on that date.

Corrections

If we find a material factual error, we correct it. Readers and companies can report an error through our contact page. See the corrections policy for how we handle submissions.

AI-assisted work

Technology may assist research organisation, drafting, editing or quality checks. Publication remains subject to editorial review. We do not treat generated text as evidence; factual claims should be grounded in appropriate sources.
